Once Upon a Time: Children’s Author Fair

Join us for a magical afternoon at our Children’s Author Fair, presented by the Friends of the Katie Lamb Public Library! This year’s theme, “Once Upon a Time,” will bring beloved fairytales and stories to life through books, activities, and hands-on fun for the whole family.

Meet local children’s authors—from picture book creators to middle grade writers—who will be on hand to chat, sign books, and inspire young readers. Enjoy special author readings in the Community Room, and don’t miss Miss Bailey’s Fairytale Storytelling featuring her enchanting flannel board tales.

The Friends of the Library have also prepared eight themed activity stations for kids to explore their creativity, curiosity, and love of stories:

• Make Your Own Book (Literacy & Craft)

• The Evil Queen’s Poison Apples (STEM Experiment)

• Plant a Beanstalk (STEAM Gardening Activity)

• Puppet Making (Craft)

• Cinderella’s Pumpkin Ring Toss (Game)

• Feed the Dragon (Game)

• Decorate Your Own Knight’s Shield (Craft)

• (and more surprises!)

Snacks, decorations, and activities will all follow our Once Upon a Time fairytale theme, making this an unforgettable celebration of imagination and reading.
